When we purchased our home back in February I knew I had some work ahead of me. Between the strange hamster wood chips in the master bedroom and the little "hill" of cement in the dining room I knew something odd had taken place in this location. Perhaps the hamster of the house had tunneled down through the floor and created a large gaping hole requiring the guy that threw knives at the guest bedroom wall to do some handy work. This must have exhausted him though as he just left the walls all full of holes. Luckily they both obviously had a penchant for light houses and decorative toilet seat covers. It must have been a wonderful getaway for them. Ahh, the refreshing feel of old dingy walls and lighthouse covered vinyl. Does it get any better than that?
All right, now that I have thoroughly offended everyone who has lighthouse toilet seats with matching curtains I must unveil my creation. I already had the bathroom linens but the flooring, paint, and cabinetry were on my budget. The grand total came to just under $40.00 and a whole lot of experience.

Much, much (much) better - and downright cheap to boot!
Thanks Obi-Mom Kenobi. It was actually an experiment to see if I wanted to do my kitchen cabinets and floor and the answer is YES!
