Thrift store extravaganza

Have I mentioned I am a connoisseur of thrift store items as well as bargains? Well hold onto your seats because you are about to be both shocked and amazed at my purchases for various reasons of which you are welcome to keep to yourself.

First of all I would like to share with you my $4.99 cookie jar. It hales from a local used stuff store and required some paint touch up. It enjoys long walks on the beach, good books, and of course, cookies. Lets all give a big round of applause for big red strawberry.

Next up for you viewing pleasure is our old and dear friend Santa Clause. Not only is he a little teapot but he does tend to stand in an effeminate manner making me rethink the Santa that I have grown to love. He kept bursting into song while at the store and he likes to kick and dance. Watch out fellow family bloggers, I am perfectly aware that you want this and YES it may just end up as a gift. Thank your lucky stars you are on my list. Then again, this may just be a fun little Christmas addition to the one time of year when I totally trash my house with completely ludicrous decor and lighting. Chances are good that someone should have paid me directly to take him, and my husband stared at me as if a goat had just popped from my forehead when I insisted that I had to have him but I felt that I got a real bargain at the half price sale of ninety-nine cents.

Finally, the bargain of the century. I found these draperies on a local clearance rack at $5.00 per set. I purchased extra to make them fill out and look good instead of the junky wrinkled mess the manufacturer had intended. I had hoped to make custom but with our budget I could not resist dressing out 3 large windows for the killer price of $25.00. Ooooooh yeah. Watch out neighbors, no more naked mad dashes for us. Especially none for you guy with the mustang. You know who you are and I AM judging you.

I WANT your cookie jar. Not so much the santa teapot (I'm more of a liberty-print kinda girl), but that strawberry jar... shiny.

And that Santa looks sort of like he's about to snap his fingers three times, wag his head and say "Mhmm girlfriend".
I like it.

I do believe you meant to say that the cookie jar was going to be a gift, and I stand by ready and able to receive it at your earliest convenience.

You know, I saw that cookie jar and couldn't believe it hadn't been snatched up. I mean cookies from a giant strawberry? Does it get any better than that!

He is saying "Look, I'm fabulous, what can I do about it but work it?"
